    Hey there,
We’re putting together a calendar that will probably get published before a few event dates are solidified, but the organizer wants to announce that the show will be coming in a season (e.g “Fall, 2013”), or “Date TBD”. How to filter the date field to allow for those types of options?

Without too much work you could set up Fall, Summer etc as Event categories then display everything from that category on a listing type page.
Im not sure how you would implement that with the Calendar view though, if there are no secific date attatched to it.

    Hey Lee,
Can’t use the categories, as those are already being used for other things. I think to avoid issues with messing up the calendar system, probably best case is to add a “TBD” checkbox using something like Advanced Custom Fields, then setting up an if statement that looks for that option and printing the relevant text on screen, else display start date / end date, etc.

In the same way, you could use the Custom fields to just set an event as Fall / Summer etc
Then on your listing page you could pull out every event that is set to Fall.

(Thanks Lee!) I think I’d take a similar approach; does that give you enough to go on here Will or do you require any further help/input?
