ParticipantIt looks like I can resolve this problem when I Deactivate, Delete and then re-install the “The Events Calendar: Filter Bar” plug-in.
For some reason, it does stop working randomly time to time. It would be best if that didn’t happen.
If it happens again, I will follow the procedure above.

ParticipantOK,
I resolved the issue but not sure how. I deactivated all plug-ins. Then I reactivated the events calendar plug-ins one by one starting with “the events calendar”, “pro” and then the rest. Now, the Show Filters link is there.

ParticipantCatherine,
It turns out after the last update, a number of methods and code snippets were changed within the theme files and my custom theme files retained the older/outdated code.
In my case, the issue was related to my custom theme code located within my “theme_folder/tribe-events/…” directory. I was able to test this by switching to a default theme such as TwentyFifteen. It worked in the default theme since there are no custom ‘tribe-events’ folder in a default theme, which points to the fact that the custom files had outdated code.
So, I did a compare between the versions of the same files (mine and the original plugin files). I then brought over the specific changes (new methods and PHP calls) to my theme files. This resolved my issue.
Hope this helps.

ParticipantGeoff,
After your questions and my last response, we compared the views/list/nav.php file from your latest update with our themes copy of the file (from an older update) and imported the new pieces of code found in your latest view. That resolved this particular problem.
The Next and Previous links are now working.
Thanks,

ParticipantAll very good questions.
1. Can I share a link?
Unfortunately, the feature is in our local server. We plan to put a staging website on a remote server soon but not right away.2. Also, do you have any customizations in place?
Yes, we do have minor customizations, mostly for look and feel and layout. There are copies of a few (about 4 – 5) template files in the tribe_events directory in our theme.Should we copy the latest files from your source and attempt to re-apply the changes?
3. does the navigation continue to fail when switching to a default WordPress theme?
The feature does start working if we switch to a default theme (no tribe_events folder).Tojo John
ParticipantI have been following this thread. I just wanted to let you know that the same JS error is still there after my most recent update. Though, it is possible that the last update may have come out earlier than this issue was reported.
Thanks.

ParticipantOh! Didn’t realize the close radio is right on top of the comments box.

ParticipantOK. I will close this post new topics. Thank for your help.

ParticipantThank you for the response. We will start developing this week on the custom event registration module. We are not creating an add-on or plug-in for it. We’ll simply create a child object (post type) to Events and then use front-end forms to allow our members to sign up for the events, which will dump the data to the new child object.
Is the knowledge base the only place you have your functions documented at this moment? Are there any other sources I should look into for documentation?
I will keep this ticket/topic open in-case we need to ask questions as we develop.
Thanks,

ParticipantBefore we close out the ticket, I have one more issue to request your help on. After discussing the UX, user workflow and other business requirements with the Harvard Club staff, it seems that developing a custom registration (for events) is the right approach for them, instead of integrating an e-commerce system.
I wanted to ask if there are good documentation on hooks and best practices for developers who want to extend the plug-in features. An help/guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

ParticipantThat sounds good and thanks for the prompt response. You may not have answers for my next question but I will ask anyway.
Q. Do you have any idea on the time it requires to integrate WooCommerce + Events Calendar Ticketing to a site (no payments)?
Q. Are the UIs in WooCommerce made to be responsive?
Q. We are seriously considering creating a custom Post Type (with relationship) to collect/hold registrations for The Events Calendar events for quick development with minimal bells and whistles. Would you recommend against that?

ParticipantBrook,
Thank you for the reply. Based on the requirements I listed above and easy of integration, do you have a recommendation on WooCommerce vs. EDD?
Thanks,
