ParticipantUm hey, did you guys fix this? Because if you didn’t, it’s inexplicably working now with absolutely zero change on my end. And if you did, thank you so much and God bless you!!!!

ParticipantThank you very much for going to these lengths. In the interest of supplying as much relevant information as possible:
I originally built this website on a temporary URL (my final URL still belonged to another registrar/person). When my URL became available, I updated my WordPress settings to that new URL (the one I’m using now). The WordPress install itself never moved folders or locations, the URL simply changed. From that point, once I had the WordPress install working fine on the new URL (there were some minor permalinks issues but that was all), I installed WordPress 3.6 Multisite and that’s when things started to get weird with the Events calendar. It’s interesting to note as I did earlier that none of my sub-sites have this issue, only the main site and I suspect that the URL change is to blame – problem is, I don’t know how. Thanks, Barry!September 3, 2013 at 4:35 pm in reply to: Events displaying on website, but not in Admin Panel #64389gracebiblechurch

ParticipantYes. I logged in as our other Admin (created after the issue was discovered, after the merge, and after the Network creation) and experienced the same issue from her Admin Panel. I created a new Event as her and while the post count increased, the Event did not show in the list. The only way I can edit or delete events is by visiting them from the front-end while logged in and using the “Edit Event” link from the WordPress Admin Bar across the top. This is absolutely baffling.

ParticipantNo. It’s interesting to note as well that none of the other plugins were installed after the move to the Multisite – all of them came over. What I’m trying to say is that the Events Calendar and all other plugins played happily together before the move/import, which I think is what’s the root cause here.

ParticipantFirst step – deactivated all plugins except The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro.
Second step – switched to 2013 Theme
Third step – checked to see if issue was resolved; it was not.
Fourth step – switched to Network Admin dashboard and network deactivated all plugins at the network level, checked to see if issue was resolved; it was not.
I DID change the URL of this site when I set up this multisite. The URL to this site was a temporary one (http://gracebiblechurchorg.mydomain.com) when I first installed The Events Calendar and that has since changed to http://www.grace-biblechurch.org. Could that be affecting the events?September 3, 2013 at 7:25 am in reply to: Events displaying on website, but not in Admin Panel #64208gracebiblechurch
Participant1) All my MT plugins are up to date.
2) Switching themes did not resolve the issue.
3) Deactivating other plugins one at a time did not resolve the issue.
I went into my Network Admin and Network Deactivated the Plugin on the Network level, then went into the individual Site Dashboard and activated the plugin on the site level. This did not resolve the issue.
However, in doing so, I noticed that the License Key tab from the Events Calendar Pro settings menu has disappeared. Is this some strange conflict with license keys while using Multisite?September 3, 2013 at 6:56 am in reply to: Events displaying on website, but not in Admin Panel #64191gracebiblechurch
ParticipantHi Barry – yes, I did check for that and no, that’s not the case here!

Participant@snorton, thank you! This actually worked quite perfectly for me. The only thing that did not work was the Alt tag. Rather than echoing the title within the alt tag, it simply echoed the title as text. Thus, the title appeared on the page twice – once within the H3 tag as it was supposed to, and once as plain text. I’m sure whatever made it appear as text rather than an Alt tag was something miniscule; it doesn’t matter, as I assign Alt tags to images as I upload them in WordPress, and don’t need to rely on them within the Events Calendar. I’m simply grateful for your willingness to paste your code for me. 🙂
THANK YOU, and may God bless you for helping us!gracebiblechurch
Participant@snorton, I’m very interested in your implementation of this feature. I too would like a placeholder image that would maintain the integrity of the design if no event photo is specified. Could you help me achieve this, or point me in the direction of some resources that can?
