ParticipantThank you Casey.
Update – I confirmed that the test site at least appears to allow admin login, but when entering events it duplicates them as others have reported. The rest of the site seems unaffected in terms of disrupting editing or visibility of the admin/edit/preview.Webmaster
ParticipantI have a test site that is using a new theme (supports Event Calendar) + 3 plugins activated (Event Calendar, PRO, Community Events) and it works perfectly. I duplicated this setup on live site and this is where everything went wrong – I started having cookie enabled issues (login page), then the server disabled the plugins for me and said it was the Events Calendar plugin that caused this. When the plugin is activated the users get redirected to the homepage, but I can login!
I did have one HTTPS plugin that appeared to cause conflict (maybe), but I am not down to just the plugins that are necessary plus a coming soon plugin (SeedPro).
I pressed with the hosting and they are insisting it is the new version of the plugin not compatible with other plugins. I hope a fix comes soon – I was ready to relaunch my website in 24 hours… now that is on hold.

ParticipantI managed to get the free Events Calendar working, but when I activate the PRO version (both 3.5) it gives me 504 time out error!! Please help.

ParticipantYes, the church related theme created a custom post type “Events” – it existed when I installed The Events Calendar plugins. This is why there are two. It seems if I leave the existing events as-is and change the default URL base for the new plugin to use something like cal/calendar (other than event/events which conflicts with the existing events) then everything will work just fine.
I guess if I contact the theme developer with this they can tell me how to deactivate the custom “events” and they would then appear in the plugin events instead?

ParticipantIs it necessary to disable custom post type from the theme?

ParticipantWhen I activated the plugins I was viewing the event details in the same manner as they appeared before (in the theme), not in the new format with the plugin (PRO). In the admin panel I have two sections “Events” … the PRO is near the top (no events, existing categories appear) and the normal WP is further down (which has the existing events and existing categories).
