ParticipantThanks. I will give this a try when I can on our dev site. I apologize for needing such direct guidance, but my job has extraordinarily broad scope, with managing our website being but a very small slice of that. I essentially have zero time for deep study of any sort. I appreciate the assistance I’ve received here.

ParticipantI’ve never done anything with CSS files before, so would a file containing the following work? I only have Notepad to do this in, so I guess I would save as a text only file, then change the file extention to .css?

ParticipantThanks for the response, Barry. I did look at the Themer’s Guide, but I don’t see instructions for setting up a custom tribe-events.css stylesheet. I see some general instruction, but nothing that is step-by-step. It just says:
To load custom styles for core views and elements, create a stylesheet called tribe-events.css in the tribe-events/ directory of your theme.October 23, 2013 at 8:48 am in reply to: Spacing between paragraphs for event info in list view #72506Debbie
ParticipantAddendum: The event page itself looks fine. There must be some way to reflect the appropriate paragraph spacing for the event entry in list view.
Debbie
ParticipantYes, thank you Leah.

ParticipantThat’s why I was confused: The Featured Image box always appears at the bottom of the right hand column for regular posts. It’s not appearing at all in the event editor. I have checked all the settings, too, to see if it’s something I have to “turn on” within the Events Calendar Pro settings, but I can’t find anything anywhere.

ParticipantThank you so much for the info, Barry. Can you point me to someplace where I can learn about how to assign featured images so that I can see how that looks? We have 139 x 102 (approximately) icons that we are currently using in the body of each event that might work as featured images.

ParticipantI’m just not having any success with this, but I sure appreciate your help. For example, when you say (line 22 ish), I have no idea what you’re saying to change it to, plus my list-widgets.php file isn’t even 22 lines long!
You can probably tell that I never have to deal with css or php files, so most of this is Greek to me.
I think what I need to do is rollback to the previous version, but as I mentioned in another post, I can’t seem to get my hands on it.
Debbie
ParticipantSorry for THREE posts in a row, but I don’t see how to edit anything but my initial post here. I wanted to add that these upcoming events in the widget are also being numbered: 1. 2. 3. etc. I can see no way to change that in the settings anywhere.
Debbie
ParticipantI also meant to ask if it’s possible that the fact it’s a header font is what’s giving me the blurry look (drop shadow)? If so, what can I change it to other than H1, H2, H3, H4, etc.?
Debbie
ParticipantI found it, but changing the two instances of H4 to H3 then saving and viewing the site again didn’t produce any change to the font at all.
Is there something else I need to do?
This is the file I edited:

ParticipantHate to piggyback on this, but I was directed via email by Support to do the same thing. I also went to my Download page and only 3.0 is there.
I have also downloaded the downgrade script, as indicated on the page below, but I have no idea what to do with it. The instructions on the page would be better if they were step-by-step.

ParticipantI tried it on my Dev site in my theme’s css file. Put it at the bottom. It didn’t make any difference.
Debbie
ParticipantI wanted to mention that this is the same in all browsers that we test with.
Debbie
ParticipantBarry, that link states that it’s not applicable to 3.0 widgets. I’m hoping that a new version of this will help me figure out how to fix the size of font for events in the widget.
