ParticipantYou got the point there, Geoff.
I’ll post to the Event Rocket forum. Thanks!

ParticipantThank You George and the Tribe Dev Team,
the fix works and it surely would have taken some time for me to work it out, I really appreciate it.
Bottom line, I can’t see the added value of the original AJAX month pager links, so my 0.02$ would be to drop them in the future. You could still get the hourglass effect with some non-disruptive JS.
Anyway Thanks again!csikimacko
ParticipantHello George,
the rewrite rules that i had quoted have been disabled for now. Unfortunately, the month pager is still not working.

ParticipantThank you very much for investigating on this.
Yes, when I “deactivate” the JS I actually just brake it by renaming the source file.
Apparently, the effect is that the pager links work just like plain links instead of using the AJAX loading method. On a sidenote, I am wondering what is the advantage of the AJAX loading, other than the “hourglass” icon…?
FYI, I’ve taken a look what the server might alter in the incoming communication and found that there are some rewrites in effect, for the sake of security:
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (<|%3C).*script.*(>|%3E) [NC,OR]
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} GLOBALS(=|[|%[0-9A-Z]{0,2}) [OR]
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} _REQUEST(=|[|%[0-9A-Z]{0,2})
They may or may not influence how TEC works; I just thought you should know about this.
Unfortunately I don’t see way to dumb the site down now for testing purposes. Eventually, I could make a copy of the site on a test subdomain in the future, but I guess it would be still an issue how to activate TEC Pro there with the single licence I have.csikimacko
ParticipantPer your request, I have deactivated the datepicker JS. Please come back as soon as I can reactivate it as the site is kind of crippled without the functionality it provides.
Thanks

ParticipantHi George,
thanks for the reply.
1. Absolutely sure. Unfortunately I cannot afford it anymore as the site is now public.
2. A small shared hosting server with no caching.
3. The permissions seem to be fine.I made some investigation, which led me to trying to disable (rename) vendor/bootstrap-datepicker/js/bootstrap-datepicker.js – which effectively disabled the javascript navigation (no “hourglass” effect when clicking the navigation link) and made navigation work as expected. At the same time, unfortunately, the date picker stopped functioning of course.
Please note that the “Use Javascript to control date filtering” setting seems to have no effect on this.csikimacko
ParticipantHappy New Year to You too!
Looking forward to the fix…csikimacko

ParticipantHello,
there is no witchcraft here, I simply go to WP Admnin->Settings->Permalinks, switch to Default which effectively disables pretty permalinks and empties the wp_options/rewrite_rules table. Then I switch to another option and the wp_options/rewrite_rules table gets populated again. I noticed that this table has quite many redirects that serve The Events Calendar, and are perhaps generated by The Events Calendar.
ER stands for Event Rocket.csikimacko
ParticipantHello,
I have no custom rewrites. All the rewrites in the wp_options/rewrite_rules table were auto-generated, then cleared when disabling rewrites, and re-auto-generated when re-enabling rewrites.
The problems that I was able to solve this way were similar navigation issues with TECP, unfortunately I cannot find the forum topic any more.
I would appreciate any help as the website is over the deadline now.December 9, 2014 at 4:31 am in reply to: Some events in Week View shown as thin bar with no text #912853csikimacko
ParticipantHello Brook and Leah,
and thanks for the update. I will follow your advice until a fix is released. I’ll keep checking here.

ParticipantJust an idea: disabling and re-enabling pretty permalinks in WP solved this problem for me.

ParticipantHello,
as marked on the form, I had treid with the Twenty Thirteen theme as well as with all the other plugins disabled.
I have, per your suggestion, added a test event to October, but it did not help. Indeed, when using the pager, nothing shows up, but when using the same URL directly, it works.
I have plenty of plugins installed, but as I said above, I have tested without them, only TEC, TECP, and ER enabled.csikimacko
ParticipantHey,
as I have noticed more problems with Events Calendar giving 404 here and the I started to have the suspicion that the content of the rewrite_rules WP setting gets messed up somehow. Indeed, after disabling and then re-enabling URL rewrites in WP at Permalink Options, the problem went away.
The only remaining problem is that clicking on the next month in Month View yields no results and the page is titled ’undefined’.
Generally, it seems that the rewrite_rules that Event Calendar maintains are somewhat fragile.
If you want, I can file a new topic for this problem.csikimacko
ParticipantHello Geoff,
as I told in the first comment, I had already switched back to the stock theme, disabled all the plugins, and tried with an empty browser cache. Unfortunately it did not help. -
