Desactivate parent categories while still displaying them

Hello Tribe,

I would like to know if you could pinpoint me in the right direction to reach this goal:
I’d like, in the Filter bar, to be able to have, as in the autocomplete view for the Categories filter, a hierarchy of categories and their sub-categories, as on this beta version of a coming website on which i work on:

But i’d like the categories to be non-selectable. Could you help me on this?

Hi Jose,

To accomplish what you have described would require a customization. That may be possible in conjunction with a web developer, I recommend reviewing our Themer’s Guide.

We are unable to help with that entire process, but we may be able to give you pointers along the way if you have some specific questions.
