I am also experiencing the “Invalid Request” error in some cases when clicking on the + Google Calendar button on a single event page. I have done some testing to try to narrow the issue, but it seems oddly variable. I found some consistency with it breaking when I added images to the body of the event. I found more consistency when adding lightboxes, and still more consistency when adding 5 or more lightboxes. However, there were exceptions in each of those cases (for example, after some time, it was still broken even after deleting all but 4 lightboxes).<\/p>\n
I troubleshooted this somewhat extensively with the developers of my Theme. They concluded the following:
\n“It seems to me that they should strip the HTML of the event content (line 2673 in lib\/the-events-calendar.class.php) as Google Calendar complains when you pass HTML code in the calendar event’s details. It might also have something to do with the length of the details, but in any case this should not contain any HTML, in my opinion.”<\/p>\n
I have tried this in multiple browsers, with multiple users, with cache and history clearing, and have experienced the issue across the board.<\/p>\n
I am in the process of testing this on a 2014 default WP theme with no extras in a subdomain of my account, but it is taking time to set up.
