Hello,<\/p>\n

Hope you are well! I have gone to the world’s end trying to figure this out but after a copious amount on forums, I have found the answer but do not know how to implement the change I need. When I click on my event and go to the single events page, I get a 404 Error and flushing the permalinks is not my problem. It seems that with the recent upgrade of WP, the permalinks are being trimmed and the date of the event is cut off from the permalink. So, http:\/\/mcr.fitz.cam.ac.uk\/event\/welcome-back-party\/ throws an error but http:\/\/mcr.fitz.cam.ac.uk\/event\/welcome-back-party\/2015-04-24\/ does not. If I set my permalinks to default, the event pages work but I would like to be able to use the post_name permalinks.<\/p>\n

Which file (and how) do I have to amend to stop WP from changing the permalinks? Can I use default permalinks perhaps just for event pages?<\/p>\n
