{"id":943510,"date":"2015-02-18T23:48:54","date_gmt":"2015-02-19T07:48:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/duplicated-recurring-events\/"},"modified":"2015-02-20T06:14:41","modified_gmt":"2015-02-20T14:14:41","slug":"duplicated-recurring-events","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/duplicated-recurring-events\/","title":{"rendered":"Duplicated recurring events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have run into a snag with recurring events in Pro that I can&#8217;t fix independently.<\/p>\n<p>After setting up a number of recurring events, which initially worked really well, I needed to go back and change their category and visibility on listings.<\/p>\n<p>As I was doing this, I began to notice that the same occurrence of each recurring event is being listed twice with the same date (in both the Events admin and in the front end [if you click the &#8220;Show all&#8221; link for the recurring event]). Also the first time I was editing an event the message at the top would say &#8220;14 instances of this event have been created through February 13 2016&#8221;, as soon as I changed the category it changed to &#8220;27 instances of this event have been created through February 13 2016&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>Looking through previous support questions, I found your hot fix for merging duplicated recurring events.
