I have a sidebar, in which I would like to place an Upcoming Events widget. However, to my surprise, the widget does not have any styles applied to it (only the mini calendar does). It appears this was intended.<\/p>\n
I love the styles applied to the event list items in the mini calendar widget. However, I don’t want the calendar, I just want the list.<\/p>\n
In one thread, it was suggested to use the mini-calendar and remove the calendar via CSS or template override. None of these work for me, however, since the mini-calendar list only shows events for the current month. I need upcoming events to be show in sequence, regardless of the month they fall under.<\/p>\n
Upon testing, I found that if I put BOTH widgets in (that is, the mini-calendar widget and the upcoming events widget), the styles for the mini-calendar applied to the upcoming list. I figured I could go and hide the calendar widget altogether with a display:none, and viola.<\/p>\n
However, I don’t like having to enable something, only to have to disable\/hide it at some other point, especially something like the calendar, which would steal load time.<\/p>\n
