I am in the process of converting a rather large but unmaintainable custom CMS to WordPress. There are several thousand users with tens of thousands of posts, comments, and events. For a variety of technical reasons that I won’t go into here as they would assuredly bore the reader, off-the-shelf importers (yours included) won’t work for this project.<\/p>\n
My specific question regards the meta_key and meta_value fields in wp_postmeta. Could you please provide documentation on these meta_key values? What I most need to know is what fields are required, and what the constraints are for each field. I’m sure I could reverse-engineer it given time, but it would be a huge help and time-saver if you could share that info.<\/p>\n
