In short: How would I use my own post type instead of the plugins ‘organiser’ post type?<\/p>\n
Here’s my situation. My website lists companies and I would like to associate different activities to them. Events, Job listings and Products. I have three plugins that manage these activities perfectly. Each plugin has a similar idea, but call things differently. The Events Calender call it “Organisers”, WP Job Manager calls it “Companies” and WooCommerce calls it “Brands”. The namings are different but the entities (and the way you’ve implemented them: custom taxonomies\/post types) are essentially the same. However, I don’t want to maintain a company\/organiser\/brand in three different places.<\/p>\n
I’m not sure of the correct terminology but how would I go about mapping\/replacing your ‘Organizers’ taxonomy to a custom taxonomy or post type thats outside of your plugin. My ideal would be to have one “company” taxonomy or post type for these three plugins.<\/p>\n
