{"id":601749,"date":"2014-08-06T23:24:52","date_gmt":"2014-08-07T06:24:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tri.be\/support\/forums\/topic\/search-results-hanging-on-ie-11-ie-10\/"},"modified":"2014-08-08T15:11:50","modified_gmt":"2014-08-08T22:11:50","slug":"search-results-hanging-on-ie-11-ie-10","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/search-results-hanging-on-ie-11-ie-10\/","title":{"rendered":"Search Results Hanging on IE 11 &amp; IE 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My company is about to launch a new website next week which uses Events Calendar Pro v3.6<\/p>\n<p>In Final tests we have found a show-stopper in IE 11 and IE 10 whereby the search results page hangs with the message &#8220;afreeevent.com is not responding due to a long-running script.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Steps to reproduce the error:<br \/>\n&#8211; Launch IE 11<br \/>\n&#8211; Go to Search Results page:  http:\/\/afreeevent.com\/events\/upcoming\/?action=tribe_list&amp;tribe_paged=1&amp;tribe-bar-geoloc-lat=-33.8674869&amp;tribe-bar-geoloc-lng=151.2069902&amp;tribe-bar-geoloc=Sydney%2C+New+South+Wales%2C+Australia&amp;submit-bar=Find+Events<br \/>\n&#8211; Scroll to the bottom and click &#8220;Next Events&#8221; button<br \/>\n&#8211; PAGE LOADS THEN HANGS<br \/>\n&#8211; Wait 30 seconds then receive the error &#8220;afreeevent.com is not responding due to a long-running script.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This fails on IE 11 and IE 10 on Windows 8.1 and Windows 7.  Strangely the same steps work successfully on IE 9.  Additionally the same steps work successfully on modern versions of Chrome, FireFox, and Safari.<\/p>\n<p>I am very reluctant at this point to upgrade the Events Calendar Pro plug-in given we are so close to launch date.<br \/>\nCan anyone confirm if they have seen this problem before and whether it was solved by upgrading Events Calendar Pro?<\/p>\n<p>Martin<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-601749","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Search Results Hanging on IE 11 &amp;
