I’m confused on the best way to solve some styling issues for the Events Widget. It has been a few weeks since logging in here and the last bit of advice I took to heart was to create a \/tribe-events folder inside my theme folder with a tribe-events.css file in the tribe-events folder and to make my style changes there.<\/p>\n
I have also read advice on this forum to simply make the changes in the style.css file for the theme.<\/p>\n
So first, what is the better way to go – make changes in the themes style.css or in \/tribe-events\/tribe-events.css?<\/p>\n
Secondly, I’m having a hard time figuring out what classes to modify – or rather, the classes or div’s that Inspect Element shows are the ones controlling the style of the listing of events in the widget are NOT responding.<\/p>\n
For instance, I’ve figured out that to change the font for the dates of an event I need to modify:
\n.tribe-events-list-widget .duration{<\/p>\n
but when I try to modify the name of the event – changes to:
\n.tribe-events-list-widget .entry-title summary {
\ndoesn’t change a thing.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, a major overriding ingredient seems to be h4.ol.hfeed.vcalendar. Changes to this do nothing either. I don’t like the inherited margin-left: 29px attribute and want that reduced to 5px but can’t seem to figure out how to control it. Same for the margin-bottom value. And NO, I will not modify the root values in my theme because that will mess with everything else. I just want to modify the elements of the modern-tribe calendar.<\/p>\n
One more thing, the site I’m using to test all this does not have Calendar Pro installed, but the live site does.
