I’m a developer at Barrel NY, a digital agency in NYC.<\/p>\n
We recently purchased your Eventbrite integration plugin for use on an upcoming website for Columbia University, with the intent of allowing them to manage their events and ticketing from within the same WordPress backend as the rest of their site.<\/p>\n
We chose Eventbrite as our ticketing platform for several key reasons
\n– Ability to create multiple ticket types (free, paid, invoiced to member accounts)
\n– Ability to prompt users for additional information conditionally by ticket type (e.g. Members must enter their Columbia ID# so they can be invoiced)
\n– Ability to duplicate past events for quick population
\n– Ability to create recurring events<\/p>\n
While we know that we can achieve all of this functionality directly through the Eventbrite website, we were hoping that the Eventbrite add-on for The Events Calendar would provide our client with all of these features directly without ever having to leave WordPress and thus streamlining their workflow.<\/p>\n
However, it seems that the features included in the add-on are much more limited, and only allow the client to initially create an event with a single ticket type only and no custom fields (e.g. Columbia ID#). All advanced functionality must then be carried out through eventbrite.com after the event has been created in WordPress and pushed to Eventbrite.<\/p>\n
Please let me know if this is correct, and if so, can you suggest any way that we can achieve the functionality that our client requires?<\/p>\n
