We have most recent versions of Events calander and Events Calander Pro installed, same for WP version.
\nWe are getting slammed with a large number of slow queries.
\nWe use a managed WordPress hosting provider. They have warned us about a large number of slow queries being logged due to The Events Calander plugin.
\nWe used New Relic site monitoring and find The Events Calander (free part) is taking 3 times as long as the nearest resource. Then The Events calander Pro plugin adds even more usage.
\nWe have used this plugin since 2013, and I would hate to delete it.
\nAny idea on how to bring down usage. Any way to disable features that cause the load.

The queries are likely driven by crons that happen every 15 and 30 minutes.<\/p>\n
