We have been having problems with recurring events behaving “unpredictably.” I’d create a series of events to recur every week for 6 weeks, and only the first event would be displayed on the calendar. Then we’d change it so that the event would recur every 4 weeks, and it would display every week for a duration of 6 weeks.<\/p>\n
Today we hit upon a workaround. It appears that as long as I click the blue “Update” button twice, the recurring events are created as expected. Here’s the procedure I used:<\/p>\n
1. Create the event and add recurrence rules
\n2. Click the blue Update button and let it complete its process
\n3. Then click the blue Update button again and let it complete its process<\/p>\n
It appears that this workaround is working reliably. But I don’t understand why this is happening. It seems like I should only have to click on the Update\/Publish button ONCE to create a series of recurring events.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-1535447","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry"],"yoast_head":"\n
