I’ve found a few articles on using various plugins to create additional WordPress user roles, and giving those roles access to certain functions in WP, but my need extends to some data filtering within TheEventsCalendar (PRO) plugin.<\/p>\n

We would like to specify that a user role can create or edit Events but can only select from a sub-set of defined Categories (and not create\/edit additional Categories). The usage is that our outreach department would like to give WP access to a number of partner organizations so they can login and create events on the calendar for the community to see, but we don’t want them to be able to edit\/delete events we’ve created for other purposes, and we’d like to limit the categories they can select for the Events they create.<\/p>\n
