I am helping a members organisation with their website.<\/p>\n
They are using buddypress and have groups setup around regions.<\/p>\n
They have regional events – they need regional moderators to be able to setup and administer events from the front end.<\/p>\n
This requires them to be able to –
\nhave an event attached to a buddypress group,
\nbe able to save it as a draft
\nthe ability to collect attendee data
\nthe ability to export this data in an easy to use format
\nSet variable pricing – some events will have a transport \/ meal option so will cost more. There are also tickets available for non members to purchase at a higher price.
\nCommunicate with event attendees – be able to email people attending the event.<\/p>\n
Looking at your products its seems we would need community events and community tickets and events tickets plus – would they cover this usecase?<\/p>\n
We have used Events Manager and Events + pro versions and none have fitted the bill at all – the committee are wary about spending more money until we can be absolutely sure that solution will fit the majority of our needs.
