Our organization has historically listed events as blog posts. We’re now transitioning to The Events Calendar PRO, and our calendar is looking great! Unfortunately, we’ve lost the blog posts on the front page as a result. Everybody is updating the calendar now, but I’d like to still have the blog show our events.<\/p>\n

I tried using the “show events in loop” feature, and that works, except for a couple of things. It’s displaying the next 24 events, which goes way too far into the future. We’d like to have only the next couple of events shown. It’s also displaying the date the event was created, not the date of the event, and since we use recurring events this is confusing and the date is jumping around. (Note: this is in the Hashi theme, which shows dates; Twenty Fourteen does not seem to.)<\/p>\n

I also looked at the tribe_get_events KB article but I’m really not sure what to do with it to get what I’m looking for.<\/p>\n

Is there any way to create events as blog posts so they will display properly in the loop? I’m currently doing a manual “coming up this week” thing but I’d love to automate this!<\/p>\n
