{"id":1233960,"date":"2017-02-13T11:07:49","date_gmt":"2017-02-13T19:07:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/events-calendar-update-not-working\/"},"modified":"2017-02-13T11:11:51","modified_gmt":"2017-02-13T19:11:51","slug":"events-calendar-update-not-working","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/events-calendar-update-not-working\/","title":{"rendered":"Events Calendar &#8211; Update not working"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When i tried to do a mandatory update for the Events Calendar last week, it wouldn&#8217;t work, giving me the error message &#8220;An automated WordPress update has failed to complete &#8211; please attempt the update again now.&#8221; When i tried again and again, this update wouldn&#8217;t work.<br \/>\nWhen I logged into WordPress this morning, I see the error messages &#8220;To begin using The Events Calendar: Community Events, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar. &#8221; and &#8220;The plugin events-calendar-pro\/events-calendar-pro.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I tried to re-install the Events Calendar plug in, but I get the message &#8220;Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.&#8221;<br \/>\nI tried logging into Cpanel to delete or rename the original folder, but it doesn&#8217;t exist. Only the Event Calendar PRO is there, and were missing the Community Events extension folder as well.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re also currently in the process of migrating hosting from a small company over to GoDaddy. I spoke with GoDaddy this morning, and they don&#8217;t think the problem should be on their end, as we&#8217;re still on our original hosting and they&#8217;ve only copied files.<\/p>\n<p>Please help with this asap.
