We love the events calendar and all the features the plugins provide. We have several of the plugins, but post is about the countdown timer. We want to add one to our home page for holidays like Christmas and such. However, I’ve encountered a problem. I typically add a background image to the widget to help make it stand out. Our website is www.smcorridornews.com<\/a>. From what I can tell, the countdown widget pulls the css for the body from the main theme settings. I’ve tried every CSS class, div and style tags I can think of, but it is not having any effect. I’ve used the firefox console to pull the widget div class, individual div classes and span classes, and got absolutely no response. I thought about adding it into the actual countdown file in the plugin package, but…it didn’t work either. However, I could have done it incorrectly as I was taught HTML and not PHP.
