This happened a few months ago and it took days to fix it working with Avada and TEC. I don&#8217;t know how to fix this.  This is what Avada said in the above theme:<\/p>\n<p>This is coming from the Events Calendar plugin.<br \/>\nThey use the following function which strips out all tags, which is why the paragraphs will not be kept<br \/>\nThe same happens on the Twenty Sixteen theme.<br \/>\n$excerpt = wp_trim_words( $excerpt, $excerpt_length, $excerpt_more<\/p>\n<p>I have commented this out for now, so if you check the paragraphs should be shown.<br \/>\nI suggest contacting Events Calendar regarding that.<\/p>\n<p>Also if you look at the end of each event you will see &#8216;Discover More&#8221;.  It WAS hyper-linked.  Avada also fixed this for me but said it was a TEC issue.  <\/p>\n<p>As you can imagine this is very frustrating.  I&#8217;m truly hoping someone really reached out to Avada last time to figure out the fix so you can give me the steps or fix it, without having to wait days.  My site is still in Beta but this fall this will no longer be the case and I can&#8217;t have this breaking every time TEC does an update.  <\/p>\n<p>I understand that stuff happens with updates and if I had the .css or php that was used I would fix it myself as I save all the info.  So please contact Avada ASAP and find out what they did and pass the info to me, so I can make note of it.
