We sell tours, which are not taxable (Maryland sales tax) and we sell books and T-shirts, which are taxable – meaning that the State of Maryland wants us to charge sales tax (6%) on the books and T-shirts, but not on tours.
\nOnly people who live in Maryland (or are having the product shipped to an address in Maryland) have to pay tax.<\/p>\n

In WooCommerce all tickets are in a TICKET category that is set to non-taxable. Before the most recent update to WooTickets, this worked. Tickets weren’t taxed and products were. But now whenever we create a new event – and add the tickets, the default always goes to “taxable” and we have to manually “edit in WooCommerce” then change the setting. … this is a big waste of time. <\/p>\n

Why is this now happening? <\/p>\n

Isn’t there a way in WooCommerce to set this up. … to have sales tax charged to Maryland buyers only on books and t-shirts (not tickets?).
