I&#8217;m using the Caroline theme from Web Savvy Marketing which uses Buddypress and bbpress. And when users create a profile for my site, they are automatically assigned a WordPress role of Subscriber and a Forum role of Participant so that they have the ability to post comments without the ability to do so anonymously. <\/p>\n<p>When a user is logged in and they want to add a new event from the \u201cEvents\u201d in the top black \u201cadmin\u201d bar, they have the following options:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Events &gt; <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>View Calendar<\/li>\n<li>Add Event<\/li>\n<li>Edit Events<\/li>\n<li>Community: Submit Event<\/li>\n<li>Community: My Events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If they submit an event through the \u201cCommunity: Submit Event\u201d option, the event populates within the calendar without needing to be approved which is what I want to have happen.<\/p>\n<p>If they submit an event through \u201cAdd Event\u201d, the event only displays a \u201cSubmit for Review\u201d button and is \u201cpending\u201d until an Admin can approve it which is what I do not want to have happen.<\/p>\n<p>Is there a way to fix this without giving the users the ability to edit posts or have access to anything other than a locked down version of the dashboard?<\/p>\n<p>Thanks!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-1141918","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Wordpress Admin Bar &amp; Community Events -<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/wordpress-admin-bar-community-events\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Wordpress Admin Bar &amp; Community Events -\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Hi, As background, I am using Events Calendar Pro with Events Calendar:Community Events.
