{"id":1124111,"date":"2016-06-08T12:59:25","date_gmt":"2016-06-08T19:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/?post_type=topic&#038;p=1124111"},"modified":"2016-06-17T10:12:06","modified_gmt":"2016-06-17T17:12:06","slug":"known-issue-fatal-error-update-version-4-2","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/known-issue-fatal-error-update-version-4-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Known Issue: Fatal Error on Update to Version 4.2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hey folks,<\/p>\n<p>We came across a reported issue that some of you may experience when updating to The Events Calendar 4.2 and want to let you know that we&#8217;re looking into it.<\/p>\n<p>The issue seems to affect those who update Event Tickets to 4.2 before updating The Events Calendar from 4.1.4 to 4.2.\u00a0The result can be a fatal error, which is not just scary sounding in itself, but a legitimate issue that we want to help others avoid.<\/p>\n<p>Here the reports we&#8217;ve seen so far:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/updating-to-new-version-make-sure-base-is-updated-first\/<\/li>\n<li>https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/upgrade-crashed-my-site\/<\/li>\n<li>https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/update-to-4-2-crashed-events-in-my-website\/<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For now, we recommend that you update The Events Calendar\u00a0<strong>before<\/strong> updating Event Tickets. For those of you who have already updated and are experiencing the error, then we suggest <a href=\"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/manual-updates\/\">manually reverting<\/a> back to The Events Calendar and Event Ticket 4.1.4 and reinstalling in the recommended order from there.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll continue to keep you posted as we learn more about this issue.
