{"id":1109270,"date":"2016-05-01T05:40:52","date_gmt":"2016-05-01T12:40:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/search-function-behaving-odd\/"},"modified":"2016-05-06T07:05:14","modified_gmt":"2016-05-06T14:05:14","slug":"search-function-behaving-odd","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/support\/forums\/topic\/search-function-behaving-odd\/","title":{"rendered":"Search function behaving odd"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi,<\/p>\n<p>I\u00b4m using the standard search\/filter function for a site I\u00b4m developing.<br \/>\nIt allows visitors to search on Date, Location or, the general Search, which, I assume, works on any info used.<br \/>\nFor some reason, if I want to filter on basis of location, this general Search filter works better than the Location filter.<\/p>\n<p>The site is currently running in a test environment, which can be accessed via the lengthy URL http:\/\/www.cvah.branspyre-testomgeving.nl\/markten\/categorie\/markten\/<br \/>\n, where you\u00b4ll find the calendar.<\/p>\n<p>The site is Dutch, hence I\u00b4ll convey a couple of translations:<br \/>\n&#8211; Event\/Events &gt; Markt\/Markets<br \/>\n&#8211; Date &gt; Datum<br \/>\n&#8211; Search &gt; Zoeken<br \/>\n&#8211; Locatie &gt; Location<\/p>\n<p>For instance, search for an event (markt), using Aalten in the Zoeken filter bar and in the Locatie filter bar. The former, gives the correct result instanly. The same happens with the other events. Try, for instance, Wageningen.
