Hello,<\/p>\n

I am using the ‘city’ field from the venue section of user-submitted events to order the entries in the calendar. So I need ‘city’ to be a required field but don’t want other venue fields like state and zip code to be required.<\/p>\n

I followed the instructions in the knowledgebase article ‘Required fields for events submission form’. I did not make ‘venue’ required as it advises this makes all fields required, so tried adding just ‘city’ as a required field. However when I do that the submission fails with an error saying city has not been completed, even when the user has filled in the city field.<\/p>\n

Is there a way to make the city field required without the other venue fields, and if so, could you tell me how?<\/p>\n
