Hey everyone and happy Wednesday! We have released a minor update to our premium Community Events<\/a>\u00a0add-on for The Events Calendar and wanted to let you know about it.<\/p>\n

So, what’s new in Community Events 3.12.1<\/strong>? Well, nothing really. In fact, you will notice no functional difference if you are upgrading from 3.12.\u00a0What this update does, however, is set the stage for the brand new Community Tickets<\/a>, which just so happens to release today.<\/p>\n

We have received a ton of folks asking for a feature<\/a> that allows people who submit events through Community Events to create and sell tickets for those events as well. That is now possible when updating to Community Events 3.12.1 and adding both Community Tickets<\/a> and WooCommerce Tickets<\/a>. The combination\u00a0of these three plugins together creates a trifecta of awesomeness that opens your site up to a new level of interaction and doing business.<\/p>\n

We expect smooth sailing and no breakages if you’re upgrading from Community Events\u00a03.12 or greater. However, if you’re upgrading from 3.11 or earlier, please do read through the release notes<\/a> for the versions that have come out since and make sure to test the updates in a development environment before using on a live site\u2014especially if you have made any customizations\u00a0to the calendar. And, as always, back up your files and database as you would with any other WordPress update.<\/p>\n
