Thanks for that… Mmm, I thought it might be a CSS or PHP edit to add categories… I don’t have the skills/time to go about hacking about in PHP files. And I think if I did I cause more damage than good stuff…
I think I will take this out to the community forums and see if a kindly soul will give this noob an idiots guide to making this change…

MichelleMichelle LaverickParticipantThanks for that – I’ll make a note of your instructions so if/when the time comes we have that documented somewhere…

I’m surprised that FB aren’t exposing that attribute in their API. I’m guessing its because they are thinking their own search engine/index would be the only use-case – and in away we would be hijacking the field for our own purposes. I imagine it it was exposed – a comma separated list would allow the events to be added to more than one category…
It’s a shame that FB doesn’t have an opened “any other info field”…
Perhaps there’s a work around until such time the as API become more completed. For instance we could make it a rule that IF the description contained at the end Adults; Paid; that these would pattern matched to the categorises as defined in the plug-in. It would be too unsightly in the post itself – and as its just an ASCII string of characters it could be parsed through the event calendar import engine?
What do you think? Would that function as work around?

michelleps love the plug-in keep up the good work! 😀
Michelle LaverickParticipantWell, i just went and looked – and guess what its working now!
I recently did a WP update – so perhaps that fixed it…?
The only time when I’ve had this sort of oddness it was due to the caching service that backs our site…
Anyway, what ever the cause – the problem has disappeared…
🙂

I think I am putting the right keys in the right slot.
I put the key in and its is validated – but when I press save and go back again its not saved…
I wonder whether I have a bad license key OR there’s something wrong during the save process?
I’ve taken two screen grabs after i’ve copy & pasted the key, and then after saving the configuration…
Best Wishes
