“Your preview doesn’t have any records to import” with event from Facebook

    I’ve been getting this message with several events I’ve tried importing from Facebook. Here’s one I tried recently. I’m not sure what may have been going wrong

    I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing this problem.

    Unfortunately, we are already aware of this issue that prevents importing single events from Facebook. Our developers are already working on a fix.

    I will set this thread’s status to “Pending fix” and link it to the bug report. This way, we will notify you once a fix is released.

    I just purchased the Add-on and I have the same problem. So if it doesn’t import events, what is it for? I’m confused.

    Thanks for chiming in here!

    Facebook recently announced a range of changes to their APIs (the protocols we use to ‘speak’ to their servers and retrieve event information) which are having an affect on Event Aggregator users.

    As a result, Facebook imports that previously worked are not currently possible. Further details can be found in the following article > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/ea-fb-privacy-policy/

    However, you can import events from other import sources like CSV files, ICS files and other feeds like Google Calendar, Meetup, iCalendar and other websites using The Events Calendar plugin.
