We’re in the process of moving our website to a new domain as part of a business expansion opportunity. We have a “Personal” (1-site) license for Events Calendar PRO, and it’s active for the current domain for c3-studios.co. If we were interested in the Filter Bar Add-on to apply various categories to the events calendar, How can we test this on our “staging URL” through our GoDaddy account? Do we need to first disable the license from c3-studios.co to set up and license the temporary URL on the staging server?

In Using One License for Live and Dev Sites https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/, we do specify which domain structures that we currently support for staging sites.
If your site doesn’t match the criteria, you can still use the plugin. You will need to manually run updates, the license may not register (or you could register it there while building and later Move Your License Key https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/. If you need to contact support during that time, please manually send in your System Info https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/.
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Thanks

For the staging site on GoDaddy’s Managed WordPress Hosting, I simply copied the live/production site including content, plugins, and themes. The staging URL is using the GoDaddy “myftpupload.com” domain. Shouldn’t this work according to Modern Tribe/The Events Calendar PRO plugin user licensing policy? I’m getting the following error on the “License” tab under “Settings” in the admin section:
“You have a license key for The Events Calendar PRO but the key is out of installs. Visit the Events Calendar website to manage your installs, upgrade your license, or purchase a new one.”
My immediate need for my website project is to set up and test the “filtering” shortcode.
Any additional assistance is greatly appreciated!

At this time, our staging factors in only addresses ending in:
.dev
.test
.local
.tribe
.stagingIf you think that is something you would like to see changed, I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.
You can suggest it it http://tribe.uservoice.com.
