Filtering based on Post Type

Hi guys,
I’m a web developer at Metrocorp. We recently added the Events Calendar Pro to the Philadelphia Magazine site and we had a few questions. We noticed the filtering options are a bit limited out of the box but saw the availability of the filter bar add-on. It doesn’t appear to have the filtering capability for Post Type and Taxonomy we’re looking for. We were curious if it was possible and how difficult it would be to add our own filter query for post type and for taxonomy. Thank you!

Thanks for getting in touch! This would definitely require modifying the plugin directly, but it should be possible by extending the ‘TribeEventsFilter’ class. Take a look at ‘plugins/the-events-calendar-filterbar/lib/filters/TribeEventsFilter_Category.php,’ which extends the ‘TribeEventsFilter’ class for the Category Filter.
