I have several buttons on my homepage of my website and they each go to a different event category page.
The Filter Bar works fine when I watch my events on the normal view (https://nr-design.be/infosessie/events), but once I click one of the buttons on my homepage (https://nr-design.be/infosessie) for example the first one ‘Aardrijkskunde’, it goes to my event category page (https://nr-design.be/infosessie/events/category/vakken/aardrijkskunde/).
Once on that page the Filter Bar doesn’t react when filtering items and doesn’t reset also. Is there a way to make this work, this is an important part of my project.
November 16, 2017 at 10:09 pm #1385301CliffMemberHi, Simon.
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is still happening, could you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to visit https://nr-design.be/infosessie/events/category/vakken/aardrijkskunde/

We really need that filter bar to work on an event category cause when we filter on the ?tribe_eventcategory=174 page for example we get results from other categories also because the URL and filtering loses the ?tribe_eventcategory=174 in the URL.
November 21, 2017 at 8:47 pm #1388745CliffMemberI’ve filed the bug for Filter Bar’s Event Category not being set when on a category’s archive.
I marked this thread as Pending Fix, which means it should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.
I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

We’ve just released an update that should fix this bug. You can read more about it at http://m.tri.be/19tp. Please update your plugins and let us know if you are still experiencing this or if we can close out this ticket.
Note: We suggest testing updates on a staging server (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-using-wordpress-staging-site/).
Thanks
