Can the shortcode list events by category or tag?

Using free version, willing to pay for Pro version, but it doesn’t look I can do this. Need shortcode to list events by event category (and/or tags). I have multiple regions across state, need to be able to display events per region. Can I do this with shortcode? Future release? Custom programming? thanks!

I’m interested in this capability as well
want to embed a shortcode based on category in a couple of pages (page per category)

e.g. I have a training event called A with a page describing that event category (see http://new3.agilesparks.com/training/csm-certified-scrum-master/ for an example) and then I schedule events A1, A2, A3 on different dates and different regions. (e.g. https://new3.agilesparks.com/event/certified-scrum-master-november2016-israel/ as A1)
And I want to have some widget on the page for A that shows A1, A2, A3. or a countdown widget to the closest coming up event.

Is this possible?

Hi guys.

Adding Event Category support will certainly be added in the near future. It just didn’t make it into the initial release of the tribe_events shortcode.
