Maintenance Release for the Week of 9 September 2018

Updated

Welcome to maintenance release number 13 of 2018! If this is your first time getting an update from us, maintenance releases are smaller updates between major releases, and are mostly comprised of bug fixes, tweaks, and small (but meaningful!) improvements. We always recommend using a staging site to test these changes before updating on a live site.

The Events Calendar 4.6.23

  • Add – Added is_string_or_empty, is_image_or_empty, is_url_or_empty variations for REST API validation of values that are allowed to be set as empty
  • Add – Introduce folder lookup for Tribe__Template to allow usage on Themes
  • Fix – Fixed the “Full Styles” mobile view. Thanks Matthew, Laura and others for flagging this!
  • Fix – Modify resource url function to work in mu-plugin directory, thanks to Doug for reporting it
  • Fix – Remove references to and settings for Facebook importing in Event Aggregator
  • Fix – Ensure Event Aggregator allows for importing events from Eventbrite sites other than eventbrite.com, including but not limited to eventbrite.ca, .co.uk, and .co.nz
  • Fix – Allow venue location fields to be intentionally empty on Venue Singular REST API calls
  • Fix – Allow settings to restrict to only one country
  • Tweak – Add the WordPress Custom Fields Metabox show|hide settings from the Events Calendar Pro
  • Tweak – Allow changing Event Aggregator import process system between the asynchronous and the cron-based one; previously only available as a filter
  • Tweak – Allow stopping and clearing asynchronous queue processes from the admin UI
  • Tweak – Removed filters: tribe_template_base_path
  • Tweak – Added new filters: tribe_template_before_include:$hook_name, tribe_template_after_include:$hook_name, tribe_template_html:$hook_name, tribe_template_path_list, tribe_template_public_path, tribe_template_public_namespace, tribe_template_plugin_path

Events Calendar PRO 4.4.32

  • Fix – When using “Once” recurring rule, events were not being updated correctly. Thanks to @lasandia, Cynthia Giles and others for flagging this!
  • Fix – Fixed duplicate parameters in week view when using the shortcode
  • Fix – Modify resource url function to work in mu-plugin directory, thanks to Doug for reporting it
  • Fix – Correct behavior when using “day-of-month” recurrence rules, thanks to SiteCrafting for reporting this!
  • Tweak – Improve the translatability of recurrence description text by making generic words like “day”, “weeks”, “year”, etc. translatable in more contexts
  • Tweak – Update the warning message for users who are breaking an event from the series, adding a note about possible 404s. Thanks Robert for reporting
  • Tweak – Move the WordPress Custom Fields Metabox show|hide settings to The Events Calendar

Event Tickets 4.8.1

  • Fix – Show the ticket table when tickets are all sold out, show message in list view
  • Fix – Fixed ticket description issue when creating events with no description. Thanks Aaron Brazell for the fix!
  • Fix – Correct un-responsive ticket table, thanks @understandphoto for bringing this to our attention!
  • Tweak – Added filter: tribe_tickets_get_ticket_max_purchase

Event Tickets Plus 4.8.1

  • Feature – Add a filter to enable security code check during QR checkin, tribe_tickets_plus_qr_check_security_code
  • Fix – Show the ticket table when tickets are all sold out, show message in list view
  • Tweak – Set tribe_tickets_plus_trash_ticket filter to true by default
  • Tweak – Added internal methods to WooCommerce and EDD handle more atomic Views for Gutenberg extension

Filter Bar 4.5.8

  • Fix – Improved WPML compatibility to avoid mixed languages in the additional fields dropdown. Thanks to the WPML team!
  • Tweak – Add tribe_events_filter_additional_fields_query to make the additional field values query filterable. Thanks to David and the WPML team!

Eventbrite Tickets 4.5.3

  • Fix – Updated featured image syncing functionality and controls to better integrate with Event Aggregator’s Update Authority settings
  • Fix – Implented more robust event privacy control settings in the event admin
  • Tweak – Improve the setting of default “Ticket Start Sale Date” and “Ticket End Sale Date” values for better compatibility with the Eventbrite API
