Maintenance Release for the Week of 14 October 2019

Halò! We’ve polished up Attendee Information and Reports for your sites in this week’s release.

Before we jump into the changelogs, it’s worth mentioning that this round of updates is a Maintenance Release. In other words, this is a smaller update between major updates and is mostly comprised of bug fixes, tweaks, and small but meaningful improvements. It should be safe to update without breaking changes, but we always suggest backing up your site as you would with any WordPress update.

Now onto the changelogs!

Event Tickets 4.10.10

  • Tweak — Changed views: blocks/tickets, tickets/tpp
  • Fix– We added a new tribe_strpos()function that helps prevent fatal errors when hosting environments do not have support for multibyte functionality. This was impacting the ability to export attendee information for some users.
  • Fix– Our Attendees Report’s “Orders” tab wasn’t showing “sold” and “remaining” ticket reports when the event reached the maximum capacity of attendees. It now displays the amount sold and available regardless of amount, including cases where there are unlimited and zero remaining tickets for Tribe Commerce attendees.
  • Fix – When users submit multiple RSVPs to a single event, the last person’s attendee information was overwriting the others in the same transaction. That isn’t very useful, so we are preventing issues with attendee ID not matching the stored number.
  • Fix – When tickets are not yet available for an event or the “end sale” date is passed, there should be a notification displaying where the ticket form normally would be. This has worked in the classic editor, but has not been working in the block editor. We’ve removed checking for tickets in the beginning of /src/views/blocks/tickets.php as it prevents showing the “tickets unavailable” message.
  • Hookshttps://docs.theeventscalendar.com/reference/since/tribe.common4.9.19/
  • Language2 new strings added, 19 updated, 0 fuzzied, and 0 obsoleted
  • Language in Tribe Common1 new strings added, 32 updated, 1 fuzzied, and 1 obsoleted. Tribe Common is a code library used in Event Tickets, The Events Calendar, and Image Widget.

Event Tickets Plus 4.10.9

  • Fix– Our Attendees Report’s “Orders” tab wasn’t showing “sold” and “remaining” ticket reports when the event reached the maximum capacity of attendees. It now displays the amount sold and available regardless of amount, including cases where there are unlimited and zero remaining tickets for Easy Digital Downloads and WooCommerce attendees. Some of our work to do this happened in Event Tickets for Tribe Commerce users, and more coding work specifically happened in Event Tickets Plus for other ecommerce options.
  • Fix – When users submit multiple RSVPs to a single event, the last person’s attendee information was overwriting the others in the same transaction. That isn’t very useful, so we are preventing issues with attendee ID not matching the stored number for all Easy Digital Downloads attendees. Some of this issue was fixed within Event Tickets as well for Tribe Commerce and RSVPs.
  • Language0 new strings added, 13 updated, 0 fuzzied, and 0 obsoleted

Community Events 4.6.6

  • Fix – Custom Rewrite URL slugs were accidentally reset by saving the settings page without making any changes. Whoops! We put a stop to that and slug rewrites are working as expected.
  • Language1 new strings added, 73 updated, 1 fuzzied, and 1 obsoleted
