Release: Events Calendar PRO 3.12.5

Happy Wednesday, folks! We’ve squeezed in a quick, but important maintenance release to Events Calendar PRO and wanted to let you know it’s available at this very moment.

Events Calendar PRO 3.12.5 addresses a small, but significant issue that was called out to us on Twitter and here on the forums regarding Photo View. This release patches javascript errors that were popping up when geolocation was enabled in the map settings, but the event did not have any geolocation data available.

We also snuck in a little feature that re-introduces the ability to name custom recurrences. In fact, here is what we documented in the changelog:

  • Fix – Resolve JS errors on various views where geolocation data is anticipated but unavailable (thanks to @jesse_fo and everyone else who reported this)
  • Feature – Bring back the Recurrence Rule description override field

If you’re already using Events Calendar PRO 3.12 or greater, then it’s a good idea to update. If you haven’t made the jump to 3.12, then please do check out the notes for that release and be sure to test before updating because there were a number of significant updates between 3.11 and 3.12 you should be aware of if you’ve made any customizations.

If you have auto-updates enabled on your site, you should see Events Calendar PRO 3.12.5 pop up in your WordPress Updates list very soon. However, you can also grab a copy by logging into the site here and heading to My Account → Downloads.

As always, happy updating and thanks for your support! Please feel free to hit us up here in the forums if you have any issues while updating and we’d be happy to help.
