{"id":1960114,"date":"2024-05-16T02:04:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-16T06:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/?p=1960114"},"modified":"2025-10-23T12:53:52","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T16:53:52","slug":"importing-event-schedule-manager-contents-using-wp-all-import","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/importing-event-schedule-manager-contents-using-wp-all-import\/","title":{"rendered":"Importing Event Schedule Manager contents using WP All Import"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In this article, we are going to talk about how we can export the existing data in<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/products\/event-schedule-manager\/\">Event Schedule Manager<\/a><\/strong> and import it to another site without having to recreate Speakers, Sponsors, Sessions, etc. from scratch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assume that we would like to import data from site A to B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Site A Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Event Schedule Manager plugin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WP All Export plugin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Site B Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Event Schedule Manager plugin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WP All Import plugin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Exporting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After installing and activating <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/wp-all-export\"><strong>WP All Export<\/strong><\/a> plugin on Site A, we should export data in the following order:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sponsors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speakers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sessions<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>As an example, we are going to take the following steps to export Sponsors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Install and activate <strong>WP All Export<\/strong> plugin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create a new Import.<br><br><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"439\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1960137\" src=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-new-import-1024x439.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-new-import-1024x439.png 1024w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-new-import-300x129.png 300w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-new-import-768x329.png 768w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-new-import-1536x659.png 1536w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-new-import.png 1873w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the post type you&#8217;d like to export, in this case &#8220;Sponsors&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screen-Recording-2024-05-09-at-12.04.25.37-PM.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides exporting standard fields that export title and content, we need to export custom fields. Sponsors have only one custom field, which is Website URL.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: revert; color: var(--global-palette4);\"><br>Speakers and Sessions have more than one custom fields to export. No matter how many fields we want to export the process is the same.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-export-example.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><br>Importing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s time to import the date to site B.<br>Importing has a pretty similar process to exporting, with a bit of differences.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First, let&#8217;s install and activate <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/wp-all-import\/\"><strong>WP All Import<\/strong><\/a> plugin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Under <strong>All Import &gt; New Import<\/strong>, select the file (in this case, Sponsors).<br><br><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"424\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1960141\" src=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-upload-file-1024x424.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-upload-file-1024x424.png 1024w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-upload-file-300x124.png 300w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-upload-file-768x318.png 768w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-upload-file-1536x636.png 1536w, https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2024\/05\/wp-all-import-upload-file.png 1909w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After uploading the file, it&#8217;s time to select the post type. Besides mapping the Title and Content, we should map the Custom fields.
