Depending on the needs of your website, you may decide to display these past events for your users to see. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Events Calendar is set up to focus on current and upcoming events, and by default this is what the main calendar page will show, but the good news is that with a bit of thought, you&#8217;ll be able to display your past events for your users. (A note: the month view of our main calendar, by default, displays past events when it displays all events in the current month.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a few different ways to do this, and we&#8217;ll show you how along with some other essential things to know about using past events with The Events Calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-display-your-past-events\">Display your past events<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can find your past events on your site at <code>https:\/\/yoursite.com\/events\/list\/?eventDisplay=past<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to display your past events on your site, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/k\/adding-a-calendar-link-to-your-site-menu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">add a menu item in WordPress<\/a> and link your site visitors to your past events directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have <a href=\"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/products\/wordpress-events-calendar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Events Calendar Pro<\/a>, you can use the <a href=\"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/k\/embedding-calendar-views-with-the-tribe_events-shortcode\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">[tribe_events] shortcode<\/a> to display your past events using a past date.<br><strong>Please Note: <\/strong>the past events parameter for shortcodes is only available for Month view, as that article mentions as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also show past events in reverse order using the snippet provided in <a href=\"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/k\/showing-past-events-in-reverse-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this Knowledgebase article<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-importing-past-events\">Importing past events<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to import past events using our <a href=\"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/products\/event-aggregator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Event Aggregator service<\/a>, by default, these events won&#8217;t import.
