They integrate easily with The Events Calendar, with lots of WordPress Customizer options and easy-to-build custom layouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This article will show you how to get set up to make the most out of this integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-you-need\">What you need<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-30598cc7-f810-4ffe-af12-50e721f2b8ef\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/the-events-calendar\/\"><strong>The Events Calendar<\/strong><\/a> (free): This is the base calendar plugin that allows you to publish event posts and display them in a calendar format.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/event-tickets\/\"><strong>Event Tickets<\/strong><\/a> (free, optional): This is the base ticketing plugin for The Events Calendar that adds ticket and RSVP functionality to events, pages, and posts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/themes\/kadence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Kadence Theme<\/strong><\/a> (free): This is the main theme. For more features, you can check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/kadence-theme.com\/premium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">premium version<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/kadence-blocks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kadence Blocks<\/a><\/strong> (free): This is a collection of blocks used to create customizable layouts for your event pages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/kadence-starter-templates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kadence Starter Templates<\/a><\/strong> (free): These are pre-built website designs using the WordPress block editor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-installation\">Installation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can search for Kadence under <strong>Appearance \u2192 Themes <strong>\u2192<\/strong> Add New<\/strong>. Kadence Blocks is the first result on the page and highlighted in red.\" class=\"wp-image-1950357\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Using Kadence with The Events Calendar is practically the same as integrating The Events Calendar with any other WordPress theme.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/k\/downloading-and-installing-the-plugin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Install the theme and plugins<\/a>&nbsp;and you get a nice-looking calendar right out of the box. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Screen-Shot-2021-07-13-at-9.55.41-AM.png\" alt=\"Showing the calendar in month view for July 2021. Head over to the <a href=\"https:\/\/theeventscalendar.com\/knowledgebase\/k\/wordpress-customizer-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WordPress Customizer<\/a> in your admin toolbar at the top of the page (labeled &#8220;Customize&#8221;) to see all of your options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the WordPress Customizer, click <strong>The Events Calendar,<\/strong> and you&#8217;ll see new options for <strong>Single Event Layout <\/strong>and <strong>Events Layout<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.theeventscalendar.com\/kb\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Screen-Shot-2021-07-13-at-11.17.25-AM.png\" alt=\"Showing the WordPress Customizer with the calendar month view open. Hit <strong>Publish<\/strong> when you&#8217;re all done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-using-starter-templates\">Using starter templates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you install the Kadence theme, you\u2019ll be prompted to install the Kadence starter templates, so go ahead and click that button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can select one of Kadence&#8217;s starter templates under <strong>Appearance <strong>\u2192<\/strong> Kadence <strong>\u2192<\/strong> Starter Templates<\/strong>. You can host events on a museum website, conference website, kids camp website, and more! There is also a starter template called Events, which is a great way to showcase your website with The Events Calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-customizing-your-starter-template\">Customizing your starter template<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you can select your color scheme and font styles. Don\u2019t worry, you can always change these later if you\u2019d like. You\u2019ll also see any other required plugins for your chosen starter templates. These will be installed automatically when your starter template is imported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lastly, you can choose whether to import your starter template as a single page or as a full site. To do this, navigate to <strong>Add New Event<\/strong> in the block editor. In addition to standard event options, you&#8217;ll also see some new options with Kadence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can search for Kadence blocks to add, as you would with any other WordPress block. There is also a design library with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kadenceblocks.com\/prebuilt-library\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prebuilt design blocks<\/a> to add to your event page.
