In this article, we’ll discuss how to migrate your tickets from another WordPress site.

We recommend doing this via a CSV file, and we’ll share all of our tips to get your tickets migrated properly in no time!

Migration tips

Before getting started with migration, we recommend ensuring that you are doing the following:

  1. Before importing tickets, ensure that the events (or other post types) the tickets are associated with have been imported first.

  2. Make sure the Event ID matches the new ID of the event on the website you are importing to.

  3. It is recommended that you use the YYYY-MM-DD format for dates. Learn more about setting dates and times here.

  4. Make sure you are using these directions for importing when you are using WooCommerce.

Migrating tickets

As we mentioned, in order to migrate your tickets, you’ll want to create a CSV file with all of your ticket information. Once all of your events are imported, you can import your tickets separately. This will make it easier for your tickets to locate which events they belong to.

You can use this RSVP Fields CSV file for your RSVPs and tickets (including WooCommerce tickets). If desired, you can add the Ticket Price and/or Ticket SKU columns to the CSV.
