Eventbrite Ticketing: Beta Testers Wanted

We’ve locked down our first pass at the new Eventbrite Ticketing add-on, and the beta is kicking off. Think you’ve got what it takes to be an early user? Jump in and help out!

The rules are simple:

  • Report any bugs you find, no matter how small they may appear;
  • Don’t submit feature requests, since we’re not looking for anything beyond bugs; and
  • Don’t give the plugin code to anyone else.

The beta ends on December 16 (next Friday) so please don’t respond if you can’t get feedback in by that time. While anyone who makes a compelling case for why they could add value to this beta will be considered, we’re giving first priority to users who are running sites that meet any of the following criteria:

  • Are internationalized (translated) for a language other than English;
  • Are on one of the WP 3.3 beta release candidates; or
  • Are running on a WPMU multi-site install

If you’re interested, let us know via email (not in the comments below)…it’d give you the opportunity to get your hands on the plugin before it is officially released, and would help make the finished the product a higher quality experience for everyone.

  1. So how did this ever come out? If beta ended Dec 16 it’s now almost a month later? How’s it coming…..

    1. Hey Charles. The first round of the beta was productive, though it yielded enough bugs and otherwise necessary changes that we all agreed a second round was in order. That’ll kick off by the end of January and, assuming that doesn’t yield a huge number of bugs (which it shouldn’t given how many we’ve addressed so far), we’ll have the finished product live shortly thereafter.

      If you want to check back in with me 2-3 weeks out, I’ll probably have a more substantive timetable to share. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more.

  2. Hi Rob, Where abouts is this at? I need something implemented in the next couple of weeks. Should I move on?

    1. Hey David. If you email pro /a/ tri.be, we may be able to squeeze you into the current beta if you’re interested.

  3. I am targeting functionality similar to this plugin to be delivered in next few weeks. Is there an update on when this might be available?

    1. Norm: the goal is to go live sometime in March (sooner the better), but we’re still in beta stages as of current. You’re welcome to participate if you think it’d be of value to work with the beta code in the interim.
